Be Thankful To Him!

 Be Thankful To Him!

In a classroom, a teacher asked the children to list down the Seven Wonders of the World. All the students except one little girl had written down the present day wonders. The teacher was amazed when she came across the paper on which the small girl had listed the following 7 wonders: 1. To see 2. To hear 3. To laugh 4. To feel 5. To taste 6. To love, and, more importantly 7. To be grateful.
How true!! All these aspects, which are indispensable to our existence itself, are no less than wonders! Yet we never realise their significance in our lives. For instance, if we specifically talk about 'being grateful', then ponder– We use the word “thank you” many times a day. We thank others for their favours, their gifts, and their concern. But, how often do we really thank the Almighty for His blessings? It has been rightly said, "We thank the one who gave us the wrist watch, but forget the One who gave us the wrist!"
However, noble souls find ample reasons to thank the Lord in every situation. The French poet, Lamartine, was taking a walk in a poor quarter of the city when he came across a humble stonecutter at work. The poet was surprised to hear him utter the words, “Thank you!” after each stroke of the hammer.
“My good man, whom are you thanking?” enquired the poet haughtily.
The stonecutter answered– “I am thanking God.
Lamartine further said, “Had you been wealthy and prosperous, it would be natural for you to thank God. But, God thought of you just once when He made you and hasn't remembered you since then, for He has left you to pull on a hard and tough life!”
“Did you say that God thought of me at least one time? Ah! My great fortune! I thank God that He remembered a poor stonecutter, at least once! How great He is!! How kind He is to give a lowly stonecutter His priceless thought!!! Thank you God! Thank you very much!” – exclaimed the stonecutter and continued with the stroke of the hammer even more joyfully.
Such is the spirit of true gratitude. When you thank God for the roses as well as the thorns, you have truly mastered the spirit of gratitude to God! When you accept all that comes your way and rejoice in all that happens to you, you thank God and offer Him praise. You expect nothing; you hope for nothing; you need nothing; you lack nothing. You actually then become the happiest person on earth. Someone has said very beautifully, “Worthy is the one who remembers to thank the Lord for all His blessings; but admirable is the one who still thanks God in spite of difficulties.”
There is a story of a king that His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji often narrates in this context. The king one day, while having his food, asked his most devoted servant who was standing in his service, to share a cucumber with him. The servant thanked the king and happily ate the piece of cucumber given to him. When he had finished, the king then took a bite of the cucumber. “Yukk!” he cried, as he made a weird face and spat the cucumber. “This is intolerably bitter! How could you have eaten your piece if it tasted like bitter poison?” – The king asked with utter amazement. The servant replied– “My dear king, I have enjoyed so many favours and blessings from you all these years. Whatever you gave me tasted sweet. If now you want me to taste something bitter, how can I complain about it? With all willingness, I must enjoy this as well.”
The servant had received so much from the king that he did not think it was his right to complain if one of those gifts was bitter. In fact, even the thought of complaining didn't arise in his heart and mind. He accepted all that the king gave him with love and gratitude. This is the kind of relationship we need to cultivate with the King of kings. A true lover of God nurtures immense gratitude in his heart and so is able to receive the good, the sweet as well as the bitter in the form of a gift from his beloved Lord.
Be thankful for the smallest blessing, and you will deserve to receive greater. Value the least gifts no less than the greatest ones, and simple graces as special favours. If you remember the unconditional love and blessings of all-time compassionate God, then no gift blessed by Him will seem small or valueless.
Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji says “An ideal disciple always thanks his Master in every situation. He accepts the cloudy days with the same gratitude as the sunny ones.”
Let's learn to accept and regard all the favours blessed on us by God. Whatever He does, is the best and will always be the best, because He knows how to give us nothing but the best.
It is said that every pore of Arjuna chanted “Krishna, Krishna…”, even while he was asleep. It was so powerful that one night, the Lord Himself was pulled towards it to see who was remembering Him with that kind of depth and intensity! O' our revered Master, may every pore of our being also powerfully say “thank you, thank you…” for the bountiful showers of grace You have deluged us with.
It is known that Mother Sita thought of none other than Lord Rama, even in the sleep and unconscious state. O' benign Master, may we not think of anything or anyone other than thanking you in our sleep, wakeful and unconscious state.
O beloved Master, we'll always be thankful for whatever life brings to us because we know You'll be there with us, by us forever...
As a flower spreads fragrance, blossoms to the fullest, beautifies the garden, until it is plucked; similar may our life become that disseminates
the fragrance of positivity and peace, and beautifies the surroundings by imbibing your principles and saying 'THANK YOU!' every minute, every breath...until the day it is plucked from this garden of the world.
In the end, leaving you with a question to ponder… the same question that was asked by William A. Ward: “God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used even one second to say 'Thank You' to Him?”

Be Thankful To Him!

Monthly Congregation

Monthly Congregation

Saint Kabir says: Guru (master) and Govind(God) are standing together whom should I first bow my head or touch feet. Here the poet is suggesting that we have to touch guru's (teacher or master) feet first because it is he who taught us about the God.

On 24 July 2016, devotees of New Delhi and the surrounding areas got a divine delight as they celebrated Guru Purnima during the monthly congregation at Divya Dham Ashram. The attendees experienced overflow of joy and bliss as they offered their devotion in the lotus feet of their divine Master, His Holiness Satguru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji.

In a disciple’s life, Guru Purnima marks the crown of all festivals. In the heart of a disciple, it triumphs over all other celebrations. On this day, minds are drenched in Guru’s direction and bodies in His devotion. This day during the month of Aashaadha, according to the Vedic calendar, is the most pious for a disciple. It is the opportunity for a disciple to worship his master offering the innermost and the deepest gratitude towards the Satguru.

Guru Purnima celebration is reflection of Master’s perfection as he flawlessly showers His loving grace, divine knowledge, and moksha, all while dismissing aptitude of the receiver. Guru Purnima is also a day for a disciple’s devotion and to demonstrate adherence towards the Guru. The day is special solely for that disciple who has solidified from within by pursuing Guru’s commandments. Connected within through the vivacious techniques of Brahm Gyan and upon realizing His supreme excellence in the human garb, a disciple is able to truly perform Guru Pooja.

Way before the early hours of dawn, the disciple dives deep into Dhyan of the Master, carries out Pooja throughout the morning, subsequently spends the entire day dwelling each breath with Gurudev. On this full moon night, the disciple sings praises under the serene sheet of stars while soaking in Guru’s godly love.

To the world He’s just a man, but to those who know Him, He is their entire world.

To a materialist, Gurupuja may be seen as merely a ritual on the outside however an awakened soul understands the depth of this sanctimonious yearly event as one which occurs entirely within, in the deep-seated roots of the atman (the soul).

A true disciple reflects on the year gone by and stands witness to Guru’s nourishing grace that leads him throughout the entire time. This event further sharpens one’s focus towards the spiritual goals. Furthermore, Guru Purnima gets the disciple ready for any obstacles or hurdles that may come in the upcoming year.

Various preachers of the organization led the masses throughout the event with devotion filled sermons and inspirational musical hymns. Praying for the well-being of all, disciples meditated collectively and vowed to contribute fully to Satguru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji’s grand mission of global peace.

Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji

 Guru Ashutosh Maharaj

Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, established by His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji celebrated the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima Mahotsav. The common celebration throughout all branches of the organization gives disciples the opportunity to commend true Guru, the Satguru, who is the epitome of love, grace, and righteousness determined to bring brotherhood and serenity in the world.

The devotees celebrated their Spiritual Shepherd, His Holiness Satguru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, because He has enlightened each entity with the highest practicality of the Supreme, Brahm Gyan. He has brought peace in countless individuals, innumerable families, numerous societies, and has vowed to establish peace throughout the nation, and therefore the world.

For His disciples, His Holiness is everything; His teachings are the guiding light in this life and beyond. His kindness is the remedy for this world’s wounds. With the grace of Satguru, incapacitated souls are reaching heights of devotion; degraded individuals are once again self-sustaining and vitiated spirits are once again being parlayed.

Although a disciple celebrates Satguru every moment, with every breath because of the priceless gifts Guru bestows, however this particular day out of the entire year applauds the Guru for bestowing the crucial technique of knowing the self. The day also strengthens the disciple to walk steadfastly and achieve the Supreme.

Guru Purnima solidifies ambitions as it instills rapture into the hearts that await the event yearlong. Essentially, the Guru-disciple relationship fastens even further bringing them together spiritually. The short-lived worldly relationships fade in front of the pious eternal bond of a Guru and His disciple. Guru Purnima comes once a year to intensify the love, faith, and trust that link the two.

Under the divine umbrella of the organization, one can witness Guru Purnima celebrations throughout the nation as well as worldwide. On this day, the ashrams and sanctuaries are seen fully adorned and the volunteers are seen working selflessly. As they hail their Guru, disciples gather to collectively meditate and offer prayers for world peace. Overall, Guru Purnima Mahotsav is a celebration, a consecrate, and a re-commendation of Guru’s continual ideology ofCharayeveti, Charayeveti.

COME, JOIN THE ARMY OF GOD!

COME, JOIN THE ARMY OF GOD!

"Truth always triumphs"- the evil knows that this is universally and eternally true. However, it still keeps on trying to defy these words. Evident in every age, this was true at the time of Zarathustra as well. Prior to his birth, the wicked people and magicians had an inkling that someone is going to come who would pose as a threat to their existence. Hence, they intended to curb the possibility of Zarathustra taking birth on this earth. However, their intentions could not fructify and hence the earth was blessed with the arrival of a divine soul, who was supposed to spread the message of truth and awakening in times to come. ... where all babies cry when they come in this world, Zarathustra laughed at the time of birth. Such incidences marked a clear indication that Zarathustra was not an ordinary child, but a divine entity who had come for the emancipation of mankind from the evil and wrongdoers.

It is an eternal law of creation that from time to time enlightened saints and Spiritual Masters descend on this earth to spread the message of Truth, and thus annihilate unrighteousness. ...

This has been the sole philosophy and ideology behind every spiritual movement in every era, which was also exemplified at the time of Zarathustra. After a long wait and craving, at the age of 30, Zarathustra ultimately got the real preceptor who unveiled the secret door to meet the Ahura Mazda (God). ...
After receiving the Divine Knowledge...
"Be the warriors of Light!"- He would say wherever he went. ... He used to call upon the masses asking them to join the Army of God. In turn, people asked, "What should we do to become part of the Army of God?"

Devi Maa Resurrected in all Life forms

 DEVI MAA
DEVI MAA
As pronounced in Durga mantra:
It is confirmed that all life forms are feminine while only God, carrying the power of universe, is masculine. Devi ma resides in all natural entities- in mountains, trees, soil, sky, all living beings and profound space. She dwells and institutionalizes herself as energy or Shakti in all particles. Nature is often referred to as mother or Ma. It is said that only a mother has the strength to endure the pains of all her offspring. She can bear their misconduct with a smile and does not revolt even if she is in deep pain. To resurrect the importance of Ma in our lives, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan organized a Devi Bhagwat Katha from 8th June, 2016 to 14th June, 2016 at Arariya, Bihar.
Sadhvi Aditi Bharti Ji, preacher, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan in her discourse elaborated on importance of conservation of nature from undisciplined acts like large scale cutting of trees, polluting air, and water and being unkind towards natural resources. The Katha beautifully eulogized strength of feminism which is worshipped in our country, Bharat and belief is that society progresses when women are respected. Sadhvi Ji said that successful person is one who balances within oneself masculine qualities of resilience, independence and self- confidence with feminine qualities of compassion, love and sacrifice. The supreme lord complements itself with nature and hence this balance is of utmost importance for sustenance of this world.
Sadhvi Ji further explained that technique by which an individual can experience this entire cosmos within oneself is known as Brahma Gyan. Brahma Gyan is actual perception of divinity achieved by undivided focus of a devotee on its divine eye. Divine eye resides at the center of forehead, between eyebrows and is activated by the grace of a perfect master. With consistent practice of Brahma Gyan, devotee masters the art of balancing between its masculine and feminine instincts.
Various distinguished personalities present on the occasion appreciated the highly knowledgeable discourse by Sadhvi Aditi Bharti Ji. They praised the efforts by DJJS on various social platforms and especially on nature conservation program named ‘Sanrakshan’ and bovine conservation program ‘Kamdhenu’. Guests appreciated the uniqueness of Devi Bhagwat Katha as it underlined the relevance of this spiritual program in contemporary world and addressed the current issues in society.

Sadhvi Ji, disciple of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, states that today’s world needs transformation however it’s only possible through inner revolution.
Music holds the potential to instill fervor, strong will, strength, and devotion even in the most arid hearts. Music can usher up pools of sanctification as it hold the potential to nurture the scorched minds. The tunes carry the yearning minds up towards the elevated state soaring above all sorrows and distresses. Sadhvi Ji along with the musical team accomplished just that leaving the audience enriched with the potential to undertake every hurdle in the way.

In addition, the practicality is experienced through the ancient technique of Brahm Gyan meditation technique being revealed by His Holiness. Divine light, divine music, divine name, and divine nectar are all fruits of the technique when bestowed by a perfect master. When one experiences the ultimate music, the divine music, without the physical ears yet with the ears of the soul, the ultimate peace and harmony yield. That is the peace lacking in individuals today which in turn impends world peace throughout the globe. Let’s come together and remove the impediments to make the world a better place to live in.

HOW TO ACHIEVE GREATNESS IN LIFE?

HOW TO ACHIEVE GREATNESS IN LIFE?

Well, the answer to this question takes into account several aspects. What are they? Let's take a look one by one.
We are citing below two stories, which talk about altogether different situations that occurred in two different time frames. But, the two stories when put together present before us a clear-cut example as to how the parent's morality contributes to the child's greatness.
The first incident-

Many years ago, Al Capone was a noted criminal in Chicago. He dealt in everything from booze, prostitution to murder. Al Capone had a lawyer nicknamed "Easy Eddie." Eddie's finesse at legal manipulation kept Big Al out of prison for a long time. Hence Capone paid him handsomely well. Eddie was indifferent to the suffering of the common man, but had a soft spot- his son. He wanted the best for his son. ...
One day, Eddie landed in a difficult situation. He wanted to fix wrongs he had done. He went to the authorities and told the truth about Al Capone, to clean up his corrupted name and offer his son some feeling of solidarity. Within a year, Eddie was murdered. But in his eyes, he had given his son the greatest gift, at the greatest price.
Now, the second incident-

World War II gave birth to several heroes. One such man was Lieutenant Commander Butch O'Hare. He was a fighter pilot. One day his squadron was on a mission, but due to the lack of fuel, he had to return. As he was returning to the mother ship, he saw that a squadron of Japanese aircraft was speeding towards the American fleet. It was practically impossible for him to reach his squadron and bring them back in time to save the fleet. Nor could he warn the fleet of the approaching danger. ...
Brushing aside all thoughts of personal safety, he charged into the formation of Japanese planes... attacking one enemy plane after the other. ...
Finally, the perturbed Japanese squadron set off in another direction. Deeply solaced, Butch O'Hare and his frazzled fighter landed safely. ...his gutsy attempt to save his fleet.

This happened on Feb 20 and Butch became the Navy's first ace of W.W.II, and ... However, a year later, when Butch was 29, he was killed in an aerial combat. The O'Hare Airport in Chicago is a tribute to the courage displayed by him.

So, how are the two stories connected to each other? How it shows greatness as a matter of parental inheritance... What are the other points we need to keep an eye on to achieve greatness in life? To know this and furthermore, read the complete article in Nov'15 edition of English Akhand Gyan Monthly Magazine.
